Wire fences are one of the oldest forms of fencing. This fencing system is constructed by steel fencing wire braided together to include sharp edges or points called barbs. Barbs are arranged at intervals along the strands of steel wire. The barbed wire is commonly fastened to wooden or steel fence posts.
Because the construction of wire fencing is so affordable, this fence style is a popular way to contain livestock and deter predators and trespassers along extensive stretches of land.
Chain link is also considered to be “wire fencing” as it is woven strands of galvanized steel. Some of the other wire types we install are welded wire, hogwire, and no-climb wire which can be added to post and rail style fences.
